Happy Fall Equinox! We often associate starting over or trying new things with the New Year, but Fall is also a great time to step back and reevaluate ourselves before we go back into our usual office or school routines. As such, I've decided to make self-improvement— both mental and physical— our focus for the fall season. If you haven't been keeping up with our blog, here's some of what you've been missing:
If you love water but don't necessarily love getting wet, then aquatic sports might not seem right for you. But what if there was a way to be near the water without ever getting wet and you get a workout out of it? Sounds too good to be true? Don't take it from us, hop on a kayak or canoe and try it out for yourself!
As a Texan, I am no stranger to large and crowded State Fairs. However, in spite of living nearly 6 years in upstate New York, I never had the time or opportunity to make it down to the NY State Fair. So when a good friend of mine (and Syracuse native) offered to show me around, I immediately said yes!
Summer is the time for festivals and fairs. If you haven't had the chance to grab a funnel cake or fried Oreo then you're doing summer wrong, my friend. Still, summer festivals, with their large crowds and hot weather, are no walk in the park. As a seasoned festival-goer here are some of my quick rules to enjoying (and surviving) a summer festival.
