Giving Thanks

As we fall into November, those of us in the US. begin to think about the Thanksgiving holiday. As this is the holiday to celebrate the bountiful harvest of the year's hard work, ask what we are thankful for.

I am thankful for chicken broth and Jello, let me explain, one of my favorite writers Robert Fulgham wrote the best meal he ever had was chicken broth and saltine crackers after having the Hong Kong Flu. He said the warm salty water tasted heavenly as it provided desperately needed nourishment. What I like most about the story is his ability to be completely self-aware while not feeling good and finding beauty and gratitude in what is truly an awful situation.

I know this from experience; I was hospitalized for 5 days with food poisoning (that's why I had to add the Jello). I hope to always remember the thankfulness I experienced when I had jello as my first solid food in days. So give thanks to all those chicken broth and jello moments that make us who we are.

As we here at ThermApparel think about the harvest of the year and prepare for winter we are thankful to all of you, and most of all to those of you who were generous enough to share you stories of all the great things that you have accomplished in your UnderCool.

Thank you!
